Who is buying? Who loves it? Who hates it?
Both paper packs arrived (finally - UPS man came at 7:30pm) today and I made a project with each. You can see them on my blog if you're at all interested.
Despite the pink I have to say I like the Out of Print much better. The words printed on everything and the subtle "white wash" on a lot of the papers really appeals to me. I bought a set of coordinating stamps and even washed over the image with a light brown Copic to mimic the look of the paper. I think it's a very nice set and brings to mind some of their older stuff.
Oxford I'm not as into. It worked well for a father's day card, but there were a few where I didn't like the A side or the B side, so they'll be a challenge to use. This one has a lot more busy prints in it and I'm not sure it will win me over.

I might get Out of Print. I won't get Oxford - maybe a page or two - I like the brighter stuff for the most part.
I do plan on getting both Sweet Threads and Lauderdale. I'm waiting until next month when I can pick them all up from a vendor I like at CKC VF. That way I get to see it first and they have coordinating Bazzill cardstock available too.

I'm just not a BG fan. I've tried to like it and use it and sometimes I have to for assignments but I just can't ever fall in love with it. Nothing to smack though. It's mostly just a personal preference.

Like most BG paper, these lines are ones I need to see in person before I will buy. Some of the designs look hideous to me, others I would enjoy if I saw them up close. I do think I can safely say that Oxford is out the question for my tastes though.

The stamps came out really nice too. The good HA quality that you expect from them. I got a nice clear image without any conditioning or anything.

I didn't realise the stamps were from the Out Of Print collection as I love HA I was buying the for that reason (and cos I like the stamps) I may get the 6x6, stitched brads and chipstickers now!
Oxford is not for me, but I am looking forward to sweet threads!

Basic Grey is another company who's style is not really my cup of tea but I have bought a few pieces here and there over the years. Some of the Out Of Print is really interesting and I might give it a go but I don't like the colors or patterns in Oxford and I have no need for school related stuff yet. The lace stickers, yo yo's and the bows look interesting.

I really like the colors and the concept for Out of Print but it looks like it might be a little too busy for me. I like what you have done with it, Aeryn. All of those button circles look great and mimic the circles on the paper you used on the top of the layout. I like it!

Thanks Bunny. I agree it's a bit busy. I was trying to do that whole "layering" thing that everyone does, cos BG does often scream for that, but I think a few more neutral plain papers would have been a better idea. At least the buttons give some place for your eye to rest.
I bet if you scrapped in just little bits it would work really well, because you'd see the print but not be overwhelmed by it.

Aeryn - i like what you did with it, it's awesome how the picture stands out so much even though the prints are rather busy. I might be able use a bit here and there but not so much. I think II am totally falling out of love with BG, but I do like the occasional sheet SC includes in the kits. I expect to see a bunch soon from, not sure how I feel about it.

I made another page and I'm officially in love with Out of Print. Using the B sides I only end up with bits of pink in there, which I don't mind when everything else is nice and colourful, and I *really* like the text over everything. I like it so much I'm talking myself out of getting another set right now, just in case. I'll use this one up first, I promise, lol! As for Oxford, I'm still not sold. One Father's Day card does not a great set make. I used to LOVE everything BG did, so I'm trying hard to get back into it, but they don't always make it easy.
